What is Winsock? (More Information)
Winsock (short for Windows Sockets) is a specification that defines how Windows network software should access network services, especially TCP/IP.

What is TCP? (More Information)
TCP, short for Transmission Control Protocol, is one of the core protocols of the Internet protocol suite, often simply referred to as TCP/IP. Using TCP, applications on networked hosts can create connections to one another, over which they can exchange streams of data using Stream Sockets. The protocol guarantees reliable and in-order delivery of data from sender to receiver. TCP also distinguishes data for multiple connections by concurrent applications (e.g., Web server and e-mail server) running on the same host.

What are packets? (More Information)
A packet is a formatted block of information carried by a computer network. Computer communications links that do not support packets, such as traditional point-to-point telecommunications links, simply transmit data as a series of bytes, characters, or bits alone. When data is formatted into a packet, the network can transmit longer messages more efficiently and reliably. A packet consists of three elements: the first element is a header, which marks the beginning of the packet; the second element is the payload, which contains the information to be carried in the packet; the third element is a trailer, which marks the end of the packet.

What is a packet sniffer? (More Information)
A packet sniffer (also known as a network analyzer or protocol analyzer) is computer software or computer hardware that can intercept and log traffic passing over a digital network or part of a network. As data streams travel back and forth over the network, the sniffer captures each packet and eventually decodes and analyzes its content according to the appropriate RFC or other specifications.

WPE Pro Latest Version: 0.9a
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7

Uses

Analyze network problems.

Detect network intrusion attempts.

Gain information for effecting a network intrusion.

Monitor network usage.

Gather and report network statistics.

Filter suspect content from network traffic.

Spy on other network users and collect sensitive information such as passwords (depending on any content encryption methods which may be in use)

Reverse engineer protocols used over the network.

Debug client/server communications.

Example uses

A packet sniffer for a token ring network could detect that the token has been lost or the presence of too many tokens (verifying the protocol).

A packet sniffer could detect that messages are being sent to a network adapter; if the network adapter did not report receiving the messages then this would localize the failure to the adapter.

A packet sniffer could detect excessive messages being sent by a port, detecting an error in the implementation.

A packet sniffer could collect statistics on the amount of traffic (number of messages) from a process detecting the need for more bandwidth or a better method.

A packet sniffer could be used to extract messages and reassemble into a complete form the traffic from a process, allowing it to be reverse engineered.

WPE Pro 0.9a (Windows XP, 2003, Vista, Windows 7), 1.3 (Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000)

*UPDATE 5/22/11: New version doesn't require use of PermEdit. Thanks goes to Devalina. *
Winsock Packet Editor (WPE) Pro is a packet sniffing/editing tool which is generally used to hack multiplayer games. WPE Pro allows modification of data at TCP level. Using WPE Pro one can select a running process from the memory and modify the data sent by it before it reaches the destination. It can record packets from specific processes, then analyze the information. You can setup filters to modify the packets or even send them when you want in different intervals. WPE Pro could also be a useful tool for testing thick client applications or web applications which use applets to establish socket connections on non http ports.

PermEdit 1.25 (Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 7)
PermEdit grants system access to any running process. Usually it's used for packet editors like WPE Pro and T-Search because sometimes they are unable to target a certain game or it does not appear in the list. It can be used for other programs though.

T-Search 1.6b (Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista)
T-Search is a cheat tool designed to search for parameters in memory while a game is running. This is a primary tool used when making trainers. This program allows the use of breakpoints and disassembly for tracking down DMA locations. This program will also automatically generate the commands needed to plug into the Trainer Maker Kit.

Cheat Engine 6.1 (Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7)
Cheat Engine is an open source tool designed to help you with modifying single player games running under window so you can make them harder or easier depending on your preference, but also contains other usefull tools to help debugging games and even normal applications. It comes with a memory scanner to quickly scan for variables used within a game and allow you to change them, but it also comes with a debugger, disassembler, assembler, speedhack, trainer maker, direct 3D manipulation tools, system inspection tools and more.

ArtMoney 7.36 (Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7)
Art Money is a cheating program you can use for all games. ArtMoney can make a troublesome game easier to win by helping you find the memory address where a desired quantity (like amount of money) is located so you can change that quantity. In spite of its title, ArtMoney actually allows you to change any quantity specified in a game, whether it be dollars, bullets, swords, or health points. The program finds a hex address based on the input parameters you set and prints these addresses with their corresponding values. For example, if your character has 1,431 dollars, ArtMoney searches and displays all memory addresses containing the value of 1431. Of course, as there can be hundreds of memory addresses displayed after a simple search, you will need to filter these addresses.

This site was designed to help you easily find all the tools you need for modifying games. On the forums we have information for things such as hacking club penguin and hacking maple story. We hope you enjoy the programs and become active in the forum. If you enjoy the programs, please submit tutorials to the forums to help other users. We are now accepting donations, as this site costs money to run, and the bandwidth usage is becoming considerably higher.
